Happy to share my 3 #poems published in #VSANA—Viewing Stone Association of North America in February 2024. These were composed on the “Intersection stone” displayed below: A dolomite/marble formation deposited around quartzite.
Delighted to have my #haiku in The Haiku Foundations’s Haiku Dialogue —Editor’s Choice this Wednesday on the theme of Migration-Immigration.
Grateful to Carole MacRury, Guest Editor for the selection and her beautiful commentary which touched my heart.
My father migrated from Sargodha, Pakistan and settled in Lucknow, where I was born and grew up. He used to recount stories of his life with much longing for his lost home & friends. This memory inspired my haiku. The word “hiraeth” fully expressed his emotion of an irretrievably lost homeland.
Grateful to dear Richard Grahn, Founder and Editor: The Abstractaphy Initiative (abstractaphy.org) & Drifting Sands Haibun (drifting-sands-haibun.org) for the acceptance & publication of 3 of my published haiku on the website.
