    Our visit to the Van Phuk Silk Village in Hanoi, Vietnam inspired this haiku.

    Hanoi silk weaver
    the warp and weft
    of her wrinkles
  • Gene Murtha Memorial Contest 2023

    Kyoka are 5-lined like #tanka, but as Bryan says – “Think of kyoka being like senryu. Not a definite nature reference or kigo and it illuminates the human condition. They dont always need to be humorous and many people consider modern tanka to be kyoka.” #failedtanka
