Triveni Haikai’s maiden Anthology—“amber I pause” published by Hawakal was officially launched at the Haiku Utsav in Pune.

Grateful to dear Kala Ramesh, Lakshmi Iyer, & Teji Sethi, Editors, for a fantastic Triveni Volunteer Dhanyavaad anthology showcasing the work of 76 poets from seven countries—Australia, England, India, Northern Ireland, Scotland, the USA, and the Phillipines.

Honored to be in it with a published haiku & tanka. Congratulations to all featured poet friends.

  • Triveni Utsav 2023

Back from the 3 day Triveni Haikai India’s Utsav at Pune from 3rd to 5th February and remembering the wonderful poet friends met at the Utsav and the warm bond of love & bonhomie we developed.

Kudos to dear Kala Ramesh for the meticulous planning & orchestration of the power-packed program. The book launches were by Teji Sethi, Neha R. Krishna, Vibha Malhotra, Srinivas Sambangi, Shobhana Kumar, Kala Ramesh & me. This program was beautifully anchored by Namratha Varadharajan.

The launch of Triveni’s first Anthology —“amber-I pause”was a highlight. Honored to be in it with a haiku and a tanka. Poetry workshopping, the masterclass of haiku, tanka & haibun, the melodic notes of the flute, the graceful dances choreographed to our haiku, remembering Johannes Manjrekar, Ravi Kiran and me conducting a live Kukai and awarding the winners with certificates designed by Teji.

Walking meditation with a flute recital, blending in, Jane Hirshfield’s conversation, Kala’s zen stories, the delicious food, the Macha tea, our joyful singing and the haikai learning—memories to cherish always. 🤗💕
