Delighted that two of my Haiku and two Tanka (published earlier) are featured in the Anthology, “The Haiku Way to Healing” edited by Robert Epstein, a licensed psychologist, and a published haiku poet.

Wednesday brings THF’s Haiku Dialogue and the theme this week was “encounters”.
Grateful to Peter Fischer, Guest Editor for selecting my ku.

Deeply honored to be interviewed by Julie Kelsey, of The Haiku Foundation’s Education Committee, for “New to Haiku”, an initiative with the goal of reaching out to welcome beginning haiku poets.
Julie’s insightful questions made me retrace my journey and realize how much I still need to learn…miles to go before I sleep…

Outside my bedroom window, stands the royal poinciana tree. Its flaming orange blossoms have always inspired me to set up my easel. With the changing season, it stands bare, a single leaf clings to the branch, heedless of the wind and rain, fluttering, but still holding on.
I marvel at its tenacity. It reminds me of you. How you fought and held on desperately till the very end.
